This Privacy Policy describes how Aliaksandr Zahatski ("Developer", "we", "us") handles information in connection with Podlite Desktop and Podlite Pro ("Software") and the website podlite.org ("Website").

Who We Are

Podlite Desktop is developed by Aliaksandr Zahatski, an independent software developer. We are committed to protecting your privacy and collecting only the minimum data necessary.

What We Collect

Website (podlite.org)

  • Analytics: We use Google Tag Manager to collect anonymous usage statistics (page views, referrers, device type). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

  • Cookies: The Website uses cookies only for analytics purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Podlite Desktop (Free Version)

  • The free version of Podlite Desktop does not collect any data. All your documents are stored locally on your device. No telemetry, no tracking, no network requests.

Podlite Pro (Purchase)

  • Payment data: All payment processing is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), acting as Merchant of Record. We do not collect or store your payment details (credit card numbers, billing addresses). Paddle's Privacy Policy governs how they handle your payment data.

  • License data: When you purchase Podlite Pro, we receive from Paddle: your email address and transaction ID. This data is used solely to generate and deliver your license key.

  • License validation: License keys are validated offline using cryptographic signatures. No data is sent to any server during license validation.

Third-Party Services

Paddle (Payment Processor)

Paddle.com Market Limited acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. When you buy Podlite Pro, Paddle processes your payment and handles invoicing, sales tax, and VAT.

Google Tag Manager (Analytics)

We use Google Tag Manager on the Website for anonymous usage analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected through this service.

Data Retention

  • License records (email, transaction ID) are retained for the lifetime of the license for support purposes

  • Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default retention settings

  • No data is retained from the desktop application itself

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you

  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data

  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

Children's Privacy

Our Software and Website are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
