Terms of Service

Last updated: February 24, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Podlite Desktop and Podlite Pro ("Software") developed by Aliaksandr Zahatski ("Developer", "we", "us").

By purchasing or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.

Product

Podlite Desktop is a free desktop editor for Podlite markup language, available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Podlite Pro is a paid supporter edition that includes additional features such as custom themes and clean PDF export. Podlite Pro is a one-time purchase at the price listed on the Pro page.

Merchant of Record

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf.

When you make a purchase, your transaction is with Paddle, not directly with us. Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms apply to all purchases.

License

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use Podlite Pro on any number of your personal devices.

  • The license is issued to the individual who made the purchase

  • The license key must not be shared or redistributed

  • The license does not expire and is not subject to recurring fees

Free Version

Podlite Desktop (free version) is fully functional. The Pro edition adds cosmetic features and is entirely optional. No features are removed from the free version to encourage purchase.

Refund Policy

Since Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are handled by Paddle in accordance with their policies and applicable consumer protection laws.

  • You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if the Software does not function as described

  • To request a refund, contact us at the email below or reach out to Paddle directly

  • Refunds are processed by Paddle and returned via the original payment method

Support

We provide support via email on a best-effort basis. We are an independent developer, not a large company, so response times may vary.

Intellectual Property

Podlite, Podlite Desktop, and Podlite Pro are developed by Aliaksandr Zahatski. All rights not explicitly granted in these Terms are reserved.

The Podlite markup language specification is licensed under Artistic-2.0 license.

Disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Software.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
